The Role
We are seeking an Web Designer to join our team in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The Web Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites that align with the company’s branding and business goals. The role involves combining creative design principles with technical web skills to deliver engaging digital experiences. The designer collaborates with developers, marketing teams, and third-party design partners to integrate external assets and APIs, ensuring cohesive, accessible, and high-performance web interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain website layouts, templates, and landing pages in line with brand guidelines.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external tools into web interfaces as required.
- Work with third-party designers and agencies to incorporate external design assets while maintaining brand consistency.
- Optimise designs for performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to improve site experience.
- Create and manage graphic assets, including icons, images, videos and banners.
- Keep up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Work with marketing teams to design campaign pages, email templates, and digital ads.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and follow UX best practices.
- Create visually compelling design mockups with industry-standard tools for customer presentations and tenders.
Skills & Requirement
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services into web projects.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design standards and accessibility guidelines.
- Experience collaborating with external designers or agencies.
- Attention to detail with a strong sense of visual aesthetics and typography.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow), or front-end frameworks.
- Experience in motion graphics, animation, or video editing.
- Understanding of SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar).
